Wala sa edad yan: Paano mag-ipon at any age

Ika nga nila, it’s never too late to start saving!

1. 20-25 taong anyos (Early to mid 20s)

Marami nang nagsilabasang mga digital banks sa bansa reinforced by safety protocols during the pandemic.

2. 26-29 taong anyos (Mid to late 20s)

By this point in your life, meron ka na rin nakatabing emergency fund that will come in handy in case you get financially compromised.

According to the PNB, low-risk investments such as the aforementioned are usually regulated by the SEC and underwritten by banks.

3. 30-49 taong anyos (30s to 40s)

Ika nga nila, you have more money in your 30s – assuming na stable ka na sa career mo and you know how to handle your finances better than you did in your 20s. Mas ginaganahan ka na rin ma-achieve ang mga goals mo to secure your future. Whether you’re planning for marriage, enrolling your kids to school, retirement, or even getting another degree, ready ka na for bigger commitments.

On the other hand, meron din naman sa atin ang hindi na pinipiling magkaroon ng anak. At dahil wala silang added responsibility, they have more time in their hands to pursue another career or a side hustle for extra income. Kung ikaw ay single o married without children, your 30s to 40s is a great time to put away some money na mapupunta sa gusto mong lifestyle that you will eventually live by in your retirement years.

4. 50-60 taong anyos (Middle ages)

Ginhawa ang naghihintay sa’yo on the other side of the workforce. It may take decades to get there pero worth it naman, especially if you have your finances in order! Kaya nga sa maagang edad ay dapat nasanay na tayo mag-impok at mag budget; our destiny are determined by our decisions.

By the time you reach your 50s, pwede ka na mag resign from your tenure for good to pursue your hobbies and spend time with your loved ones. Siguradong huhugot ka na sa retirement savings mo pero hindi advisable na i-cash out ito to pursue your interests later in life. Tandaan, habang ika’y tumatanda, your money should still be working for you and not the other way around.

So that by they’re in their retirement years, malaki na ang tubo ng iyong mga assets. Pwede mo rin i-adjust ang iyong investment portfolio to avoid risks, like focusing on having conservative assets tulad ng mga bonds at money market funds na ideal para magkaroon ka ng stable and passive income.

Maaari ka rin mag cash out ng malaking halaga from your investments para kumuha ng annuity. An annuity is a type of contract between you and your preferred insurance company that requires the insurer to make payments for you either immediately, every month, or annually over a period of time or until you die.
