PROJECT SANTA PRIVACY POLICY

Project Santa processes selected records from supported government service portals only on your device. The current release supports selected My.SSS member and contribution fields. It has no backend, analytics, advertising, or developer access to your records.
 

DATA PROCESSED

After you give consent, the extension may read the following fields when they are displayed in the official My.SSS Member Portal:
 

  • Member name

  • A masked CRN or SSS number showing only the final four characters

  • Membership type and coverage status

  • Contribution periods, amounts, salary-credit values, posting dates, and payment status

  • The portal page path and capture time

DATA DELIBERATELY EXCLUDED

The extension does not read passwords, one-time passwords, authentication cookies, session tokens, hidden form inputs, birth dates, addresses, contact details, employer names, or payment reference numbers.

HOW THE DATA IS USED

The data is used only to show you a local preview and, when you choose, to let you copy or download that preview as JSON. The extension does not use the data for advertising, profiling, eligibility or credit decisions, analytics, or any unrelated purpose.

 

STORAGE, SHARING, AND RETENTION

Project Santa does not transmit captured data to the developer or any third party. Manual previews remain only in the extension popup. Automatic capture results use Chrome's session-scoped extension storage, are removed when the popup retrieves them, and are also cleared when the browser session ends. Downloads and clipboard copies are created only when you request them and are then controlled by you.
 

PERMISSIONS

  • member.sss.gov.ph access: limits capture to supported pages in the official member portal.

  • Scripting: restores the capture script if the portal tab was already open when the extension was installed or updated.

  • Storage: temporarily passes an automatic capture result from the portal tab to the extension popup within the browser session
     

LIMITED USE
The use of information received through Chrome extension permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the extension's single user-facing purpose, is not transferred for advertising, and is not made available for human review.

INDEPENDENCE

Project Santa is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government agency, including the Philippine Social Security System.
